What lovely harvests. I need to try to grow watermelon next year. Your sweet banana peppers also look especially good.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your first watermelon! This would be from your watermelon "Christmas Tree" right? :-) It looks very juicy and delicious. I finally pulled my cucumber vines this weekend, too. They were yellow, dead, and all tangled up in trellis. The end of plants is never pretty!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the ripe watermelon. That is one of the more challenging crops to grow and then harvest at the right time. Well done!
ReplyDeleteNice harvests. I especially love the banana peppers all lined up. I wish I had more peppers in the garden.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great harvest, and very colorful one! Your garden is still producing good volumes, even if temperatures are lower.
ReplyDeleteEmily - Thank you for your kind comments!
ReplyDeletethyme2garden - Yes, they're the "christmas lights" watermelon. I still have 6-7 more on them!
kitsapFG - Yes, they're hard to predict. I just calcuated the days to maturity from the fruit set and then added 2- 3 weeks more, but kept a close watch.
Daphne - Thanks! Banana Peppers are coming in batches this year!
vrtlarica - Harvest has been better previously, but I'll take what I get :-)
